Flat Pack Amigos was formed in late 2004 after several months of planning and test trading. The aim was to set up a national network of flat pack assemblers to assist those that can't or don't want to assemble furniture themselves.
Built from the foundation of Unpact Ltd, which started assembling flat pack furniture in 2001, Edwin Cooke redefined the business model and launched Flat Pack Amigos. Leveraging strategic support and guidance from Manchester Business School, Flat Pack Amigos were based originally in a modest 16th Century building in the picturesque village of Rainford.
Shortly afterwards, one of the assemblers from the original Unpact team redefined the business model and launched Flat Pack Amigos, steadily building a nationwide network, focusing on quality and using assemblers from the original company ethos.
Today, we continue to grow our nationwide network with over 100 trained assemblers covering 90% of UK postcodes. All assemblers are fully trained and vetted through established procedures, maintaining the high standards that have made us the trusted choice for furniture assembly across the UK.
